KAO Elite
Club basketball teams for 3rd grade through high school (2nd graders will be accepted upon assessment).
Basketball is not just about sports. At KAO Athletics, we will teach your child about self-esteem, citizenship, good sportsmanship, and being true to themselves while also teaching them basketball skills. While we always play to win, our focus is teaching the fundamentals of basketball. We welcome kids of all skill levels and experience.
We get to know each player, including their skill level and their personality, and we tailor our approach to each player's needs and learning style. Through our program, your child will gain confidence, improve their self-esteem, and mature as a person and as a basketball player.
Thank you for choosing to tryout for the KAO Athletics Basketball Program. KAO athletics is a family based and community ran program that teaches more than just basketball. We encourage kids to develop mentally and physically through communication and confidence as we teach them to compete and be competitive.
Each athlete will be evaluated and each evaluation will be discussed with at least one parent prior to the selection of the team to determine the best fit for your child.
*PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY FOR OTHER CLUBS WHILE PLAYING WITH KAO*

Practice Schedule:
Practices are 2X a week. Spring season will possibly have one indoor practice and one outdoor practice (schedule can change depending on gym availability). Our practices consist of more than just basketball shooting drills but also cross training, and explosive workouts designed to give your child the best chance to compete.
Mondays times range between 5pm & 9pm @ Carmel Mountain Ranch Recreation Center, 10152 Rancho Carmel Dr, San Diego, CA 92128
Thursdays time range between 5:30pm – 9pm @ 5951 Canyon Crest Academy, Village Center Loop Road, San Diego, CA 92130
Other Days of practice depending on teams are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Leagues, Tournaments and Games Schedules
KAO currently participates in SOL and Top Gun Leagues. If your child plays for another program we do not allow them to participate on two separate teams in the same League. Your coach will discuss your league with you after your child is evaluated. Tournament players are chosen by coaches. Tournaments KAO participates in are listed but not limited to the list below.

Dues are per season. (Payment options are also available)
First time players: $405 plus additional $205 for Uniform Pack.
Returning Players: $375
New Player Cost Includes - 2 practices per week, custom uniforms (home and away), backpack, shooting shirt, mesh practice jersey, and league costs.

Late Registered Players
If your child joins after the start of the season you will pay full costs up to the 4th week. After the 4th week you will be required to pay $275 (not including uniform).
